Effective Natural Treatment for Back Pain, Sciatica, Trapped Nerve, Headaches & More

Relieve the Pain, Address the Root Cause of Sciatica, Back Pain and Trapped Nerves

If you’re living with back pain, sciatica or symptoms of an irritated or trapped nerve, you’ll know how much they can affect everyday life. Sitting at your desk, driving, sleeping, exercising or simply getting up in the morning can become difficult or even unbearable.
I see many people with lower back pain, sciatica, nerve-related symptoms, muscle tension and stiffness. These problems can have many contributing factors, including prolonged sitting, repetitive movements, physical strain, stress, poor sleep or simply doing too much.

How I Can Help
My priority during your first treatment is to help reduce the pain you have come in with. Many of my patients experience a significant reduction in pain after their first session, sometimes as much as 30–90%.
However, pain relief does not necessarily mean the underlying problem has been resolved. This is why I look beyond the painful area and take the time to understand your symptoms, how they started, what affects them and what may be contributing to them.

Depending on your symptoms and how long you have been experiencing them, I will usually ask you to return after 3–7 days. At this point, we can see how your body has responded and how long the improvement lasted. This helps me understand your response to treatment and decide how best to continue.

Your Initial Session
Your first session includes a detailed discussion of your symptoms, medical and injury history, followed by simple physical tests to help assess whether your symptoms appear to be related to your spine, nerves or muscles.
I will then select the most appropriate treatment for you. This may include acupuncture, or acupuncture combined with cupping, gua sha or electroacupuncture.

For particularly severe or localised pain, gentle bloodletting may also be considered where appropriate. This is a traditional technique involving the release of a very small amount of blood from a specific acupuncture point. I will always explain the technique and why I believe it may be appropriate before proceeding.

Treatment That Is Personal to You
Two people can have very similar symptoms but need completely different approaches. I tailor your treatment to your symptoms, your body, your lifestyle and what you want to achieve.
My aim is not simply to provide temporary pain relief, but to help you achieve longer-lasting improvement by addressing the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms.
